“Meet the Notables” incorporates the very best of the Notables’ choreographed vocal music repertory. The first half of the program features staged selections drawn from the highlights of several past performances. Following a brief intermission, the Notables will present their stunning production of “A Les Misérables Fantasy”, choreographed performances of the favorite vocal numbers from this masterpiece of the musical theatre. The Notables promise a delightful and entertaining evening of great choral music presented with their unique style and performed with unmatched enthusiasm.
The Notables occupy a unique niche in Southern California’s choral music scene. Over the past several years, their repertory has grown in scope and variety to the presentation of vibrant performances of staged and choreographed mixed choral music. Recent examples of these very different and entertaining Notables attractions are fully costumed and choreographed performances of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and scenes from Evita. Additionally, the Notables have presented original productions of “A ‘60’s Love-In” - vocal favorites from the 1960’s, “The Notables University and Trade School” (N.U.T.S.) – spoofs of several well known musical classics, and “Hooray for Hollywood” – music and dance from the silver screen. These Notables’ performances have invariably left their audiences on their feet asking for more and delighted with the evening’s entertainment.
